The 𒀀 Allo digital dictionary platform was presented in a 30-minute keynote session at the 24th Biennial Conference of the Dictionary Society of North America (DSNA-24) at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Since 1977, the DSNA conference has brought together experts and professionals from the fields of lexicography and linguistics. The creator of 𒀀 Allo and presenter at the conference, Boban Dedovic, explained the need for combining physical print books into a single digital tool. A live demonstration of the platform’s first complete language,
ð’€€ Allo Latin, was shown before an audience of experts and followed by a question and answer segment.
ð’€€ Allo is available on the Internet for free at
https://ancientlanguages.org, and is sponsored by the OMNIKA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to digitize ancient texts related to mythology. The presentation included a brief conference paper, which underwent peer review by conference organizer and lexicographer Orin Hargraves and other language experts.
